2026 Spring Egg-Stravaganza (Event Recap)

On Thursday, April 2, the MLK, Jr. Community Center hosted its annual Spring Egg-Stravaganza, an egg hunt for the children who attend MLK ChildCareGroup and free lunch and giveaways for the community.

Community partners included the Office of Housing and Community Empowerment, Dallas Park & Recreation, Foremost Family Health Centers, South Dallas Community Court, MILES of Freedom, LIRA Group, Vernette Moss (MLK Advisory Board, District 4), Reliant, Owenwood Farm and Neighbor Space, and Stella Porchia, Vickie Stepney.

MLK Spring Egg-Stravaganza (Event Recap)

On Thursday, March 28, the MLK, Jr. Community Center hosted its annual MLK Spring Egg-Stravaganza, an annual egg hunt for the children in MLK ChildCareGroup and free food and giveaways for the community.

Community partners included the City of Dallas Office of Community Care, Dallas Park & Recreation, HELP, LIRA, Empowering the Masses, Miles of Freedom, First Choice Social Services, Office of Community Care Caseworkers, MLK, Jr. Branch Library, Turner 12, Uplift Education, and EverOn.

MLK Community Spring Egg-Stravaganza (Event Recap)

On Thursday, April 8, 2023, the MLK, Jr. Community Center hosted the MLK Community Spring Egg-Stravaganza in collaboration with Reliant NRG, HELP, LIRA Group, and the MLK, Jr. Recreation Center.

Students from the MLK ChildCareGroup participated in a fun egg hunt and received goody bags with toys and candy. Members of the community enjoyed a free giveaway with nachos and treats.

Community Partners included Reliant NRG, Accident & Injury Chiropractic, HELP, LIRA Group, Foremost Family Health Center, Miles of Freedom, Empowering the Masses, MLK, Jr. Branch Library, MLK, Jr. Recreation Center, Vickie Stepney, and Dallas 311.

MLK Community Spring Eggstravaganza (Event Recap)

On Thursday, April 14, the Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Center hosted its annual MLK Community Spring Eggstravaganza, an egg hunt for the students in the MLK ChildCareGroup and a free giveaway to the community. We gave candy-filled eggs, toys, and other treats to the children, and also provided free nachos, drinks, and snacks to the community.

Our community partners included Turner 12, Empowering the Masses, Her Vibe Boutique, Miles of Freedom, Carter’s House, Union Specific Roadwork, HELP, LIRA, Jeremiah Grand Lodge C.H. Gerald #419, Oasis Focus, Dr. Jose Dela Cruz (MLK Advisory Board, District 11), Foremost Family Health Center, and the MLK Branch Library.
