Join the MLK, Jr. Community Center on Thursday, April 4, for the MLK Remembrance Ceremony, featuring Keynote Speaker Dr. Maria Dixon Hall, Associate Professor at SMU. Light refreshments will be served after the program.

2023 MLK Remembrance Ceremony
On Tuesday, April 4, 2023, the Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Center, in collaboration with HELP, hosted the MLK Remembrance Ceremony in honor of Dr. King’s life and legacy on the 55th anniversary of his death.
2022 MLK Remembrance Ceremony
This event took place on Monday, April 4, at 4:45 P.M. The theme was “It Starts With Me.” Special guests included Keynote Speaker, Rev. Dr. Michael W. Waters, Author, Activist, and Pastor of Abundant Life A.M.E. Church; John Carter, Founder of Turner 12; the Alpha Sigma Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.; and the James Madison High School JROTC.
Entertainment was provided by Marcia Jones and Vicky Rone. KFC sponsored food for the event.

The 2021 MLK Virtual Remembrance Ceremony was online event hosted by the City of Dallas MLK, Jr. Community Center and the Alpha Sigma Lambda chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
Pastor Chris Wesley of Antioch Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church was the Keynote Speaker.

2019 MLK Remembrance Ceremony and Open House
On Thursday, April 4, 2019, the City of Dallas MLK, Jr. Community Center and the Alpha Sigma Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. held its Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Remembrance Service & Open House, at 6:00 p.m.
Special guests included Rev. Marcus D. King, Senior Pastor of Disciple Central Community Church, and the James Madison High School JROTC.
