Hispanic Heritage Month

Each year we observe National Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15 to October 15) by celebrating the histories, cultures, and contributions of Hispanic and Latino Americans.

This year’s celebration is a collaboration between the Dallas Public Library, the Office of Housing and Community Empowerment, and the Office of Arts and Culture. This will be an in-person community event with live entertainment, music, and food, in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month.

Cada año en observación del Mes Nacional de la Herencia Hispana (15 de Septiembre a 15 de Octubre) celebrando nuestras historias, culturas, y contribuciones de Hispanos y Latino Americanos.

La celebración de este año es una colaboración entre la Biblioteca Pública de Dallas, la Oficina de Vivienda y Empoderamiento Comunitario y la Oficina de Artes y Cultura. Este será un evento comunitario presencial con entretenimiento en vivo, música y comida, para celebrar el Mes de la Herencia Hispana.

Siempre Unidos Festival

Always United │ A Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration

Saturday, September 26, 2026 @ 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month at the Siempre Unidos Festival, a free community celebration featuring culture, traditions, and activities for all ages. The festival will take place outdoors at the Martin Luther King Jr. Community Stage Area and will include cultural performances, vendors selling a variety of items, community partner tables, hands-on crafts, and family-friendly lawn games.

Enjoy featured performances by Mitotiliztli Yaoyollohtli, showcasing traditional Aztec dance, and Teatro Dallas, presenting Pizcas, a bilingual play that follows the life of a young migrant worker through storytelling, humor, and music. Guests can also browse vendor tables, shop from small businesses, connect with community partners, participate in crafts, and enjoy lawn games throughout the event.

The Siempre Unidos Festival celebrates the cultures, traditions, and connections that bring our community together while highlighting the many ways we can come together to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month.
