On Saturday, June 13, the Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Center hosted the 2026 Juneteenth 4K Freedom Walk & Festival, in collaboration with the Walls Project.
Attendees enjoyed free food, live entertainment, the Kid Zone, which included 10 bounce houses, water slides, and interactive games; and community vendors with food, informational resources, free giveaways, and more.
Community Partners included the Walls Project, Accident & Injury Chiropractic, LIRA, In the City For Good, Packing House Market, Aramark, City of Dallas Office of Housing & Community Empowerment, and Dallas Park & Recreation.
