Alpha Sigma Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
Alpha Phi Alpha, the first intercollegiate Greek-letter fraternity established for African American Men, was founded at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York by seven college men who recognized the need for a strong bond of brotherhood among African descendants in this country. The visionary founders, known as the “Jewels” of the fraternity, are Henry Arthur Callis, Charles Henry Chapman, Eugene Kinckle Jones, George Biddle Kelley, Nathaniel Allison Murray, Robert Harold Ogle, and Vertner Woodson Tandy.
The Black Academy of Arts and Letters
The Black Academy of Arts and Letters, Inc., is a multi-discipline arts institution whose mission is to create and enhance an awareness and understanding of artistic, cultural and aesthetic differences utilizing the framework of African, African American and Caribbean Arts and Letters.
Dallas Dinner Table, founded in 1999, is an independent non-profit organization focused on improving race relations in the DFW metroplex, ONE DINNER AT A TIME. The Dallas Dinner Table organizes dinners at an annual event on the third Monday of January to coincide with the Martin Luther King, Jr. National Holiday which provides an opportunity to hear and share diverse perspectives about the impact of race on the daily lives of DFW residents.
The mission of the Dallas Holocaust Museum/Center for Education and Tolerance is to teach the history of the Holocaust and advance human rights to combat prejudice, hatred, and indifference. The Museum is located in the historic West End and is one of only 23 Holocaust Museums in the nation. On September 17, 2019, we will open a new 55,000-square foot, state of the art facility, the Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum. This new Museum, with its dramatically larger facilities and expanded educational and cultural programming, will galvanize the North Texas community to learn the lessons of the Holocaust to combat hatred and injustice.

The Dallas Institute seeks to serve the city in a way that enriches the life of the people living within it. The vision of the founders expands each year continuing to enrich and deepen the practical life of the city with the wisdom and imagination of the humanities.
Dallas Truth, Racial Healing, and Transformation
Dallas Truth, Racial Healing & Transformation is a part of the W.K. Kellogg Foundation’s 14-city community-based initiative to plan for and bring about transformational and sustainable change by uprooting and eliminating the false ideology of a hierarchy of human value, and to address the historic and contemporary effects of racism. Dallas TRHT’s mission is to create a radically inclusive city by addressing race and racism through narrative change, relationship building, and equitable policies and practices.
Faith Forward Dallas at Thanks-Giving Square is a diverse coalition of Dallas’ faith leaders, dedicated to service, hope and a shared vision of peace and justice for our North Texas community. Faith Forward Dallas leads our virtue initiative and serves as a moral compass for the community.
