History

Spring Into Action was an idea inspired by Deborah Sutton, former Caseworker at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Center. After witnessing the suffering of homeless women on the street due to lack of access to feminine hygiene products, she made it her mission to help. In collaboration with the MLK Staff and our community partners, Spring Into Action was born.

On Monday, May 20, we hosted “Spring into Action,” an initiative to help the homeless by providing free care packages with toiletries, towels, snacks, and more.

Thanks to our donors and sponsors, we were able to give 75 care packages to our neighbors.

If you would like to donate any toiletries or snacks to the MLK Social Services Department, please contact 214-670-8442.
