Hispanic Heritage Month Festival

Each year we observe National Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15 to October 15) by celebrating the histories, cultures, and contributions of Hispanic and Latino Americans.

This year we are hosting our first ever Hispanic Heritage Festival on Saturday, October 1, 2022, which will be an in-person community event with free activities for children, live entertainment, and local vendors.

Special guests include Ballet Folklórico Ollimpaxqui and the Cristo Rey Dallas Aesthetic Literacy students. There will be a live Zumba demonstration by Ariana Zuniga.

We will also have a special art display from local students showcasing original art reflecting the diversity of Hispanic and Latino culture.

There will also be a Kid Zone area with a bounce house, face painting, balloon art, inflatable hamster ball play area, photo booth, and more!


City of Dallas departments are welcome to participate at no cost. All other individuals and organizations must pay a fee of $55 to register. Vendors will receive 1 table and 2 chairs, along with recognition online and on marketing materials.

Cada año en observación del Mes Nacional de la Herencia Hispana (15 de Septiembre a 15 de Octubre) celebrando nuestras historias, culturas, y contribuciones de Hispanos y Latino Americanos.

Este año estaremos presentando por primera vez nuestro primer Festival de la Herencia Hispana, Sábado 1ero de Octubre, 2022, el festival será en persona donde la comunidad disfrute actividades para niños, entretenimiento en vivo and vendedores locales.

Hispanic Heritage Month Student Art Display

Students from across the metroplex were invited to submit art to be displayed at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Center in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month. The artwork will be displayed inside Building A of the MLK, Jr. Community Center until October 15, 2022.

Special thanks to the students from KIPP Truth Academy, A.W. Brown Middle School, Solar Preparatory for Girls, KIPP Pleasant Grove Leadership Academy, Cristo Rey Dallas College Prep, Spruce High School, Dallas Christian High School, and the MLK, Jr. Arts Academy for your participation!
