Enter your best soul food dish for a chance to win the Grand Prize at a “Taste of Soul” on February 25, at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Center.
Guests will sample your dish and judges will vote on the best dish in each category.
The Grand Prize winner will receive $750.
1st place winners in each category will win $500.
Additional awards will be given to all contest participants.
You will choose one category from the following:
- Meat
- Sides
- Vegan/Vegetarian
- Desserts
Contestants will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis, or until all categories are filled.
One (1) table and two (2) chairs will be provided to you. You must be able to provide samples for up to 150 people.
Sample cups will not be provided- you must bring your own!
Judges will taste your dish and score it based on appearance, taste, and creativity. The contestant with the highest score will win in each category. The People’s Choice winner will receive the Grand Prize.
