On Thursday, April 1, we celebrated the MLK Community Spring Extravaganza with an egg hunt for the children in the MLK ChildCareGroup and a free giveaway for the community, including free hot dogs, candy eggs, and special treats.
Our community partners included the City of Dallas, Miles of Freedom, Ellen’s Southern Kitchen, Foremost Family Health Center, LIRA Group, Family Care Connection, Carter’s House, The Turner 12, Empowering the Masses, Dallas Black Chamber of Commerce, HELP (a nonprofit organization), KIPP Texas Public Schools, the MLK Branch Library, Sigma Gamma Rho, Transportation Unlimited, Inc., and KHAM Radio.
